in 2017 Virgil Abloh collaborated with Nike on “the tens”. ten reworks of classic trainers. to launch the colaboration Events were organised in LA, New York, London and Milan. The events reformated the ‘drop’ concept. instead of fans queueing overnight outside stores. each city held a workshop series where anyone could attend and spend time making a t-shirt, a beat, a trainer and then by having their creation scanned along with an id card they could then go to a separate pop-up store to purchase from the collection. kind of like forced creativity... We took part in the London event providing materials and means for the workshops to run as well as attending and guiding the sessions. below is a sample of the near 700 shirts made over a long weekend.
